Endava creates AI-powered tool for insurers

US group Endava has developed a tool called Morpheus that applies advanced technology to tasks in highly regulated fields such as insurance.

Morpheus uses large language model technology to automate complex processes in industries with strict regulatory requirements or data transparency needs.

It turns “the mystery of AI [artificial intelligence] into something that is transparent and auditable for those industries that need it most”, Endava CEO John Cotterell says.

AI is used to distribute work and collate results, capturing data that can be traced for governance at every step.

“Endava’s agentic accelerator can be used to deliver value in countless ways such as helping insurers with underwriting policies more efficiently. It’s a flexible and trustworthy way to rapidly transform businesses across any industry.”

New York Stock Exchange-listed Endava, which has offices in four Australian cities, bought Melbourne software developer DEK Technologies in June.

Chief Technology Officer Matt Cloke says Morpheus “will bring new levels of intelligence and synergy”, solve complex industry challenges and optimise processes.

“The introduction of multi-agent teams into our agentic AI industry accelerators is a game-changer for the sectors we serve. Multi-agent teams represent a significant advancement in AI technology, allowing for more dynamic, flexible and comprehensive problem-solving capabilities,” he said.
