Guest speaker, Ross Gillies QC, has specialised for many years in the common law principality in the fields of medical liability, industrial accident, transport accident, public liability and products liability.
Mr Gillies has appeared in many significant cases and represented interests protected by the members of the Insurance Council of Australia in the Longford Royal Commission. He is also a leading counsel retained by the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority and a former member of the Victorian Bar Council and the Ethics Committee of the Victorian Bar. Currently he is Chairman of the Common Law Bar Association and the Dever List.
