ANZIIF Introduction to General Insurance Workshop

This interactive workshop will give you an understanding of general insurance principles, relevant laws governing insurance in Australia, industry roles and responsibilities, the range of personal and commercial insurances and an overview of underwriting and claims management.

At the conclusion of the workshop, participants should be able to explain the concept of risk and identify examples of insurable and non insurable risks; define insurance and explain its function in society; identify and explain the roles of key insurance sector regulators and supporting organisations; identify some key legislation and regulations governing the insurance sector, identify and explain some of the key roles in insurance and much more.
