Whether it be writing a risk, drafting a policy or handling a claim, a sound understanding of the law of negligence and contractual liability is essential for insurance professionals.
This workshop unravels the mysteries of negligence, tortious and contractual liability. These issues will be put in context by working with specific examples, such as multi-party workplace injury claims, professional risks and property/commercial risks. We will also look at indemnity clauses and the obligation to take out insurance in joint names. Together, participants will identify potential or actual liability exposures, and ways in which to ‘shift' the blame onto others.
