QBE appoints paralympian as ambassador

QBE has appointed paratriathlete Lauren Parker as its ambassador.

Ms Parker will speak at a number of events for QBE employees and customers, and will wear QBE’s logo in competition.

She won a gold medal at the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games just 12 months after a cycling training accident which paralysed her from the waist down.

Her membership of Triathlon Australia made her a beneficiary of an accident and health insurance policy with QBE.

She has already spoken to QBE employees to share her experience and emphasise how her claims experience made such a significant impact on her recovery. She was paid out within two weeks of the accident.

Ms Parker’s transition to paralympic sport was one of the quickest on record, and she has credited the support she received from QBE as a major element in her transition.
