Macquarie appoints head of insurance broking
Macquarie Relationship Banking has appointed Rachael Lavars as head of its insurance broking arm.
Ms Lavars has been with Macquarie’s insurance broking banking team for more than 10 years and helped expand the broking services operation and establish Macquarie Premium Funding.
She replaces Paul Cilia, who has been appointed NSW State Head for Macquarie Relationship Banking. Mr Cilia took up the leadership of the insurance broking arm in October last year following the departure of Peter Conquest, who has since joined a Melbourne brokerage.
