ICNZ conference turns spotlight on consumers

The Insurance Council of New Zealand has opened registrations for this year’s conference, headlined The Consumer Spotlight – The Changing Environment.

The event will take place on November 11 at the SkyCity Convention Centre in Auckland.

Expert speakers will present on a series of topics shaping the New Zealand insurance industry.

Association of British Insurers Director of Advocacy Louise Hanson, along with Consumer New Zealand CEO Sue Chetwin, will discuss insurers and their customers.

Minister for Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Gerry Brownlee will talk about the Government’s plans for that region, while Commerce and Consumer Affairs Minister Paul Goldsmith will give his take on how insurers deal with consumers.

LMI Group MD Allan Manning will discuss emerging risks and how these might influence the industry.

The conference winds up with a CEO panel discussing the consumer environment, featuring IAG’s Jacki Johnson, AAI’s Chris Curtin, John Lyon representing Ando and Danie Matthee of Youi.
