Aon backs workplace equality

Aon has signalled a zero-tolerance approach to harassment of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) employees with the launch of its Safe Space program.

Group President and CEO Greg Case says the aim is to create a workplace in which staff can be “comfortable and authentic” and everyone is respectful of others.

“It is being aware of the needs of our LGBT colleagues and helping to meet those needs through appreciation, support and awareness,” he said. “Raising this level of support helps all employees because it creates the best possible working environment.”

The program was launched to coincide with the worldwide Coming Out Day on October 11.
