QBE remains the insurer of choice for brokers, continuing a decade of dominance over its rivals.
The latest JP Morgan Deloitte report ranks QBE the most highly regarded insurer in the country by intermediaries, ahead of rivals Allianz Australia and Suncorp’s Vero.
Brokers perceive QBE as the insurer best placed in three of eight commercial classes –
workers’ compensation, liability and professional indemnity – and the best overall in claims administration, product design, policy administration, sales support and staff knowledge.
In 48 key performance measures across seven commercial lines, QBE finishes top three 75% of the time and number one 35%.
Vero scored five top placings in the 48 categories, Zurich four and Allianz three.
The main kink in QBE’s armour is in directors’ and officers’ insurance, where US specialists Chubb and Liberty are the well-established leaders.
