Adviser banned over super theft

Financial adviser Craig James Wilson has been banned from the industry after he was convicted of stealing clients’ superannuation funds.

Between October 25 last year and January 23 this year, Mr Wilson ensured four clients received more super payments into their bank accounts than they had requested.

When they asked for the funds to be put back, Mr Wilson provided his personal bank details for return of the money. The money stolen totalled $101,800.

Mr Wilson, from Perth, was an authorised representative of Securitor Financial Group between June 2014 and March this year.
