Perth executives join Lockton regional board

Global broker Lockton has named two Australians on a new seven-member regional board tasked with driving the next stage of its Asia-Pacific growth plan.

They are Lockton Companies Deputy Chairman Warren Merritt and Lockton Australia CEO Adam Rhodes, both of whom are based in Perth.

Thai division Executive Chairman Wattana Wongvisesnopakun will chair the new board, which reflects the Asia-Pacific region’s increasing importance to the US-based company.

“By the end of our fiscal year [April 30], our brokerage and fee revenues across Asia-Pacific will exceed $US50 million ($53.07 million) for the first time, up more than 125% since Lockton entered the market in 2006,” Lockton International Holdings CEO Mike Hammond said.

Asia-Pacific Region Executive Chairman Gerry Callaghan will join the new board until he retires later this year.
