CGU names new division’s managers

CGU has unveiled the management team leading its new Broker and Agent division.

Current GM Retail Mark Searles has been appointed head of the division, which combines intermediary account management teams from retail, corporate and workers’ compensation business units.

The division’s new state managers will report to Andrew Beer, National Manager Sales and Service. They are:

Jim Karafilis (Victoria), Peter Oakman (NSW), Damien Gallagher (Queensland), James Frankenfeld (SA and NT) ), Steve Hamilton (WA) and Lisa Jeffery (Tasmania).

Darren Maher, currently Chief Underwriting Officer and GM Corporate, will lead the insurer’s newly created Underwriting Division, bringing together underwriting expertise from the retail and corporate business units.
